In a number of cases, management consulting originates with issues with regard to strategy. In a very simplified and non-academic definition, we understand by strategy the long-term route towards a defined objective. This simplicity reveals two messages: First, without objectives nothing works at all. Secondly, a route is good, when you can easily follow it and progress rapidly.

Once you accept such a simplicity, then strategy loses much of its secrecy and glamour. Strategy is hard work. After all, one must define, communicate and convince with objectives. In many cases, a clear and trustworthy definition of objectives is difficult, because only wishful thinking is formulated. In addition, it is hard work to define those routes, which can be followed with the existing resources and employees in order to reach the objectives. This requires intensive intellectual work, in-depth analyses and staggering questions concerning why and what a company is doing.

An external partner like TCP can approach these conceptual tasks in a neutral and objective manner with considerable practical experience. Still, development of conceptual works, e.g. in strategy, marketing / sales, etc. is only as good as its implementation. It is exactly at this point that your management consultant must prove to contribute to your value generation. Please, judge yourself based upon our references and your personal impressions from brief discussions with our team whether we will fit to your company.
